Dear Future Girl, So I’ve just accepted that you’re not finding your way into my life any time soon. I’ve thought I had found you a few times but that turned out not to be the case. You must be really special for me to have to wait this long and go through heartbreak time and again to wait for you. I’m sure you’re worth it. And that’s why I’ll keep waiting. I’m not going to throw myself into hook-ups because I’m impatient. Just be ready for all you’re getting when you say you’ll be mine. I’m not perfect at all but that doesn’t mean that the love I will have for you will change. I will do the best to prove to you that I love you and would never intentionally hurt you. If I ever do mess up, I will do whatever it takes to make it better. I want you to know I would do anything for you.I will wait for you. I’ll wait for all the time I’ll get to say ‘I love you’ into the crook of your neck and I’ll wait for the days where we don’t get out of bed and snuggle the entire day, not having a care about the fast pacing world outside our door. I’ll wait for the mornings where we can just sit and talk about our day and what the future has in store. I’ll wait for us to fall in love with each other and I’ll wait to figure out and eventually memorize your movements; the beat of your walk, your breath, your heartbeat, the way your eyes get when you’re nervous. I’ll wait to be the shoulder you feel you can cry on and I’ll wait to do sappy, cheesy things that we will laugh about later but be fully involved in the moment while we are there. I’ll wait to be held in your arms when things get tough, but most of all, I’ll wait to simply hold your hand, look into your eyes and finally feel the love I give be reciprocated.
